New paper on the wiring logic of a single serotonergic neuron
Using a whole brain EM volume we explored the connectivity of a single serotonergic neuron. We provide an organizational ground plan for it's synaptic connectivity and discovered several novel cell types that provide input to this modulatory system.

New Review with Kevin DalyKevin Daly and I recently wrote a review on how the insect nervous system compensates for sensory stimulation induced by their own movement. Read it here.

New Paper on peptidergic modulation in the olfactory systemNeuropeptides are found throughout the nervous system, yet they can have non-uniform effects on sensory processing. We show that non-uniform receptor expression by sensory afferents allows a restricted population of peptidergic local interneurons to differentially impact responses to odors. Read it here.
